VBS 2021
Indian Creek Church of the Brethren is excited to announce plans for our 2021 Vacation Bible School! Our VBS will take place the week of July 26-30, 9 am - 12 noon, and we are planning to have it in person!!
Our curriculum this summer is "Great Big Beautiful World," from the same publisher who gave us "Who Is My Neighbor" in 2019. This one-week VBS begins with the creation story in Genesis 2 and includes psalms, stories of Jesus, and the vision of a new heaven and new earth in Revelation. This comprehensive look at the biblical story reveals God's deep love for all of creation, including each child.
Great Big Beautiful World invites children not only to worship our Creator and to participate in caring for creation, but also to see the ways that creation illustrates truths about being part of God's kingdom and trusting in God's unfailing love. Our theme verse is from Psalm 52:8-9. "I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever. For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for you name is good." Daily themes will be supported by worship, music, Bible lessons, crafts, fellowship, snacks, and recreation.
Current plans for a safe, in-person experience include limiting class sizes, spreading out when we can, and maximizing indoor ventilation and the use of outdoor space. Masks will not be required, but we will make every effort to support parents' wishes for their own children to wear masks when indoors.
Great Big Beautiful World is designed for children age 4 through completion of sixth grade. Please register your children by completing the form on our church web site here. You may also call the church office (Mon-Fri, 9:00 am - 12:00 noon) at 215-256-9330. Space will be limited, so please register as soon as possible before classes fill up. There is no cost to participate.
