Kathy Moyer has served as Wee Folk's Director and Teacher since joining the school in September 1991.  Her past teaching experiences include several years at Tall Oaks Nursery School, four years teaching Kindergarten, as well as working with children at her church, Grace Mennonite, in Lansdale.  There she has taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Youth Group, and Children's Church.  Her educational background includes a B.S. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Gwynedd-Mercy College, and a Master of Education degree from Arcadia University.  Mrs. Moyer is also a certified "Kindermusik teacher.  She is a longtime member of DVAEYC and has participated in many of their annual conferences.  She and her husband, Dennis, are residents of Harleysville.  They have two married daughters, Kelly and Katie, and are proud new grandparents.

Serving as Wee Folk’s Assistant Teacher is Heather Thomsen. Formerly employed as a classroom Substitute Teacher with SASD, Mrs. Thomsen joined us in 2022, bringing many varied experiences working with children. She is actively involved in the Harleysville community, participating in youth activities with her children. She and her husband, Kim, are parents of a son and a daughter, Dawson and Vivian. Mrs. Thomsen enjoys taking family bike rides and walks with their dog,Buddy. She also enjoys playing piano.

Together, Mrs. Moyer and Mrs. Thomsen joyfully accept their roles in leading young children to a love of learning, while giving them the foundational knowledge of God's abundant love for them.  Our Wee Folk families soon find that they are part of a larger community here, and often make friends for a lifetime.
